LVG has been sacked.

He's a fantastic manager in his own right, one of the best in the modern era - his past accomplishments are nothing short of outstanding. He inherited a declining squad in a state of near turmoil and brought back champions league in one season. He's introduced guys who will be integral to our success in coming years ala Rashford, Martial. He procured the signatures of some of the best available talent on the market in his tenure; Falcao, Di Maria, Depay, Schweiny (- we must remember how highly these players were regarded at the time of their arrival.)

Season 2015-16 was a write off. A minnow won the league, Spurs have announced themselves as big-time league contenders and United among if not every other team have been victim to the bizarreness of this season.

Sadly for Louis, I think the writing was on the wall near the end of last year when there was mass speculation about his future at the club. He seemed, at times, defeated by the media and ready to pack it in. He will leave a decent platform for Mourinho to build on.

Next season will be an improvement mark my words. If this 'war-chest' is given to Jose, he has a private network, through Jorge, to secure some of the best players in the world. He has the presence to win those off-field battles with the media. The hardest job will be bringing in and establishing yet another 'philosophy' / tactics of how the game should be played. I believe he will base his selections on merit which renders the whole 'youth conundrum' baseless - We are here to win with the best 11 we can put out.

I'm sorry for LVG and the way this has been handled. The media has been relentless in assassinating his character for the sake of selling stories but such is life in the Premier League.

Thank you and good luck Louis.
