I’m not really sure. I mean you get more product with a longer wash but it’s a tarry reddish substance that never goes to a powder. That’s probably the latex, wax and fats from the plant.

The powder was easy to put into caps. And I did try smoking it too with little effect. Seemed to be actually kinda stimulating. That might have been placebo or was the thebaine I was smoking. Not sure.

Your method works too just for reducing the volume of the liquid you have to drink.

I just wanted to mention that you can keep evaporating it down to get a final product that is really just everything you washed off the seed.

From there you could possibly do a morphine extraction if you wanted to. But I stopped caring at that point since it takes all day to evaporate a lb of seed wash in water.

You might be able to use ethanol for this extraction and that would evaporate a lot quicker but also be flammable.
