French 'yellow vests' keep up pressure on unrepentant Macron

Do you realize that fuel prices are absurdly high in France mostly because of taxes and government regulation?

People are very ill informed about energy police but any increase in energy prices has an outsized effect on a nations economic development. And switching too renewables usually increases energy costs.

And one doesn’t just switch from a nation of gasoline automobiles to a nation of electric cars over night and not without hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars taken out of the economy and thrown towards the project.

Anyway I don’t really buy the argument that oil will start to run out while we still need it. God here in the USA we went from the largest importer to the largest exporter in a few years because of a few moderate advances in fracking.
