Matt Mercer is not a fan of the OGL1.1......

I'm not saying the OGL 1.1 is good by any means, but I've definitely seen plenty of comments taking snippets out of context or misreading them entirely. For example, some people have definitely not fully read or misread the 25% royalty clause and missed the part about it applying only to revenue over $750,000. Most of the inaccuracies are probably minor in the grand scheme of things, but it's also very easy for those details to get further distorted as they spread or explode into full-on panic. Additionally, even the expert opinions are conflicted about some things (e.g. revocability of the OGL 1.0), so we really have no way of knowing where things will end up at this point.

At the end of the day, a thread on r/criticalrole is just going to repeat all the same discussions already happening about things that may or may not happen, but it will hardly reach anyone who hasn't already seen those discussions in other D&D subreddits. And Critical Role is going to come out of this situation more or less fine, regardless of what happens with the OGL.
