Meiko Satomura talks about her MYC participation

Translation from pudpuddle.

This is pretty much all of it:

She's honored to appear on a stage of global scale. There will be a lot of competitors with amazing skill. She'll probably be the oldest, but the she's only thinking about victory.

If both her and Io make it to the final, they'll be able to show the best women's wrestling in the world currently.

The MYC finals will be held at the Evolution PPV, and as her ultimate dream, she wants to win on that big stage. She also wants to fight Ronda Rousey. She feels sympathy for her, since she sought strength even if she was disliked.

In 2011, her promotion was in the dumps after the earthquake and tsunami. There were only 2 affiliated wrestlers left, so she decided she rather wanted to test her own strength. This led her to write to WWE, applying for an audition, but she was already rejected during the screening of the written applications. Thus, she did yearly excursions to the USA and UK instead.

She had a championship match against Pete Dunne in March this year. A WWE representative was very impressed, which led to her being added to the tournament.

She featured in a trios tournament with DASH Chisako and Cassandra Miyagi in Sept. '16. Mickie James, Jazz and Victoria were there and were exclaiming "Amazing!" after seeing their match.

When Mickie informed Alexa Bliss of Satomura's entry into the tournament, she replied: "This is gonna be trouble." (bit of kayfabe, probably :p)

She wants Io to succeed in WWE, while she makes women's wrestling bigger in Japan, and in synergy, make the joshi genre bigger on the world stage as well.
