Motherly things

It’s a fictional character. I have to go off what we all see. People throw around diagnoses with no regard for who they’re hurting. BPD is often over diagnosed in women when they’re just upset about something. This doesn’t occur in a vacuum. Real people with the disorder get stigmatized enough and throwing that out there because Alicent is upset is perpetuating the cycle of stigma to real people. People without the professional or lived experience frequently try to armchair diagnose whatever they can. That harms actual people.

And just because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean I’m not a therapist. In no way is it unprofessional for me to engage in conversations on the internet or when I can provide more understanding and call out misogynistic BS when I see it.
