Mr Freud with his dreams, Mr Marx with his axe

Dear OP:

Jung is very different from Frued. They broke up even before they met.

Here is something I wrote months ago:

Many Dylan scholars, like Michael Gray, Ian Bell, Chris Gregory... all believe Jungian theory plays a very big part in the art of Bob Dylan.

Here is an example:

It does not matter much if Dylan dives into Jung or not imho. His art, his methods - I think you know Scott Warmuth's research? He produced a list of sorts of books Dylan loved over the years - are actually very Jungian indeed.

I agree with the irony u/shapshootingllama noted. The narrator of the songs is not necessarily Dylan himself, which Mr. Zimmerman told us again and again throughtout the years in many interviews - another Jungian point, innit?

He does confound expectations.

On the other hand, if people think Dylan hates false idols or misogynist or whatever, they are all correct. We see ourselves in Dylan's art, that's the beauty of it.

I am from far east so sorry if my English is not perfect.

Thank you for your time.
