Offering my perspective as a nanny. When I have bosses that treat me with respect then I could care less what they do with their off time. I don’t mind them being at home doing nothing/or whatever they want to do. I currently have extremely disrespectful bosses, and while they pay me well/with benefits, they are rude, manipulative, leave giant messes for me to arrive too, among other crap, I’m a nanny for them l, who doesn’t want to work when they don’t. Mostly because I don’t want to be in the house with them and I just need more breaks from 3 kids who have zero boundaries. Fortunately, the kids have started to get better with the help of me introducing boundaries and the therapy I had the parents get them into, that helps a bit more now.
