Need to replace my car battery. Should I consider a deep cycle battery to optimize parking mode on my dashcam?

Thanks for the reply.

I've done extensive Googling but haven't had much luck in finding good resources on the topic as it relates to dash cams.

It sounds like a deep cycle battery is what I want as long as it has at least 355 CCAs which based on my research is what my car needs. They're more expensive though and I'm not sure how long I'm gonna keep my car so need to weigh that.

I have the 3-wire variable voltage cutoff wiring harness that I've set to the most conservative setting of 12.4V in order to avoid deep cycling and damaging my starter battery. Turns out my battery is just old. Based on the research I've done this is exactly the kind of kit that I want. It doesn't have timer / temperature cutoff but otherwise seems ideal. Is that not the case?
