Newton Qual Match 86 Miscounted auton balls

As you can see displayed at the end of the match, the blue alliance had 57 boulder points, which (according to the blue alliance website and later confirmed by the head referee) was 1 auton shot and 9 teleop shots, as well as a low goal (10+45+2=57). This was challenged by yours truly, and the head referee told me that she saw the points for the second auton shot added on shortly after the start of teleop, before we even fired another ball. As you can see in the video, this is untrue. After she checked, she concluded that it must have been counted as a teleop shot, and so she changed the score by 5 points, making it 2 auton shots and 8 teleop shots. I watched video taken by our team 3 times, and counted 9 teleop shots each time. I went back to the question box and was there for a total of about an hour and a half talking with various referees, and even Aidan Browne, the chief referee for the event. As many of you probably know, referees are not allowed to look at video evidence, so it is very difficult to prove anything. According to Aidan Browne, the automated scoring system is built to be able to tell when it malfunctions (well what if that malfunctions?) and he ran a test on it and it came back clean. I also asked about the possibility that two balls going through at the same time could be counted as one, as both auton shots scored one after another. After a conversation with the people who designed the counter, he informed me that even if there was no space between the balls, the counters are on the side such that the curvature of the balls would separate them and count them both. He cited that thousands of matches have been played with nothing to call into question the validity of the scoring system (I know of multiple matches replayed, one at MSC and one at NE District Champs due to ball counter malfunctions) but as he could not look at the video evidence there was nothing either of us could do to rectify this issue.
