Nicola Sturgeon says Scotland sees its future as part of EU as Brexit confirmed

My vote is clearly not dependant on something a reddit post said as I've read thousands of posts about Brexit and I still abstained. Clearly that was an off the cuff emotional remark for effect.

The person I responded to was talking about banning dissenting figures from entering EU ground and deporting all UK citizens from EU. That seems dreadfully authoritarian and in fact more bigoted than Nigel Farage. As I pointed out.

This attitude is disturbingly common. And really childish.

Personally I don't really care about Scotland. They whine and whine but the average Scot gets a better deal than I get in England so if they wanna roll the dice good luck to them

And fairplay to Ireland really. If their smart they'll become the new Anglo financial gateway to Europe. I don't give a shit.

I want them both to stay. I'm perfectly happy to devolve more powers. I like the idea of decentralisation. But who cares? We'll all still be British regardless of the political context.

In conclusion. He didn't hurt my feelings. He and the general tone of this whole sub just made me feel worried for the future of liberalism within Europe.
