i just realized, the austrians were this close to winning

by the time of the french revolutions, they already had one of their princesses married to the bourbons, a later second or third marriage would've ensured they get the french throne

in a timeline when the french revolutions were instead a series of radical but non-violent reforms, it's possible they could've also bagged the british throne - heck, they've already gotten a possible in with the hannoverians! if the pattern held up, come 2000s the entirety of europe would have different monarchical families who all traced their (recent) ancestry to that notoriously inbred clan lol

also, wouldnt it be fun kung nung mga panahon na habsburgs pa may hawak ng espanya eh, pinapadala nila yung mga tagapagmana nila sa kanilang mga kolonya para matuto sila?

"start small, start young" kumbaga
