No Bull shoes... Good for runnimg???

Let me start by saying I've coached a championship track and cross country team. I've got a few sub 4:20 milers(high school) to my credit as a coach. I've got a decent running resume myself and spent a few years of my life logging 50-75 miles a week as well....I have a slight clue what I'm talking about.

The only injuries forefoot runners are more prone to are overuse injuries when making the switch from running incorrectly. Most people try to switch too quickly, don't give the body time to adapt and fuck themselves up. That's not a fault of the running style, that's just the way overuse injuries work in general.

Go back and look at videos before the era of the cushioned shoe. See how many heel strikers you see? Watch little kids run, who have never had cushioned running shoes. How many heel strike? Go outside and run barefoot on a hard surface. Does it hurt like hell to heel strike? Just because people do it today, does not mean it's correct or most efficient. Oh yeah, there's a good one, find me a sprinter who doesn't run forefoot. I mean if heel striking was equally efficient there would be at least a few out there right?!
