Did a customer just wipe their nose before handing you paper cash? And crap the next customer looks about 90 years old and pretty frail? Then I could change gloves before that next customer, hopefully reducing the risk of spreading.
That is the only mention I make of older people, so perhaps you misunderstood what I meant, because I intend it as the opposite of disrespectful - I am concerned for them and want to protect them. The prior sentence says someone rubbed their nose and handed me cash, then I see an older person approaching who I am told is more vulnerable to the virus, so I think "oh crap" because I know my hands are dirty, and the following sentence says if I was wearing gloves I could change them to try to protect that person - meaning the elderly but really everyone in general.
Is it something else I said?
