No one can copy the original!

It layers well… doesn’t sound super impressive on its own but get it into an arrangement, the texture is super nice. There is something great about the original wavetables, but you can find samples of them online and toss them into a sampler (or better yet, a sample playback synth with a good filter) and filter them there. Have been making crazy textures with a combo of PPG samples and other samples, combining them, then passing through a filter. The PPG tone has character, and then i tend to add something acoustic underneath it, or a sample of my Moog. You’re right it’s unnecessary to own an original PPG, luckily there are other ways to access those wavetables (including most Waldorf synths)
