In order to stay in the game Adidas, Adidas (formerly operating as Reebok) re-positioned their authentic line by slashing the Canadian price down from 329.99(??) to 199.99. These jerseys are basically only "authentic" in name because they aren't actually the same as what is worn on the ice. Build quality wise, they are a step up from the Reebok Premiers that used to retail for 139.99 in Canada, but a huge step down from the Canadian Made Edge 1.0/2.0 authentic jerseys. So with that in mind, their price point is probably just right in relation to what jerseys are expected to cost.

It's kinda funny, because Fanatics has this big exclusive deal with the NHL to sell replicas, yet Reebok is basically selling replica jerseys at a similar price point to them that just happen to be called "authentic" so in turn, Fanatics isn't really the exclusive provider of replica jerseys. I'm sure there must have been something in their contract about Adidas being able to maintain the right to sell authentic jerseys, but did they expect to have to compete with 199.99 "authentic" jerseys when they themselves are selling Wal-Mart tier replicas at 150?
