Going to NYC in less than 2 weeks for the first time ever. I am a Florida girl, my daily wardrobe when I am not at work is a cotton Lilly dress and sandals. NYC in May looks like it may be cooler and I do not have an extensive wardrobe for temps below 70 so I already grabbed some Madewell jeans, a sweater, and a new jacket at the mall yesterday.

What do you recommend I pack, clothing wise? Our plans are things like museums, sightseeing, and shopping during the day and for the evenings we are seeing a Broadway show and going to a nice dinner or two. Would athleisure and sneakers be a good pick for museum/sightseeing days? I typically don't wear a lot of athleisure because I don't like feeling underdressed but I think it might be a practical pick.
