I really don't think they looked at the current political climate whilst they wrote this. The story and setting is so far and away different that it really wouldn't hit those notes. It doesn't need to be some civil war thing. The Union for all we know could be another country or planet or split faction. I just want to know them and their goals so I can actually get more invested in the story and world. Speaking of the world it wouldn't hurt to know how other parts of it are doing.

I hope there is an episode covering this but with what happened in this episode plus it being almost the end of the season I doubt it. Most of the show has been character driven, which is fine but for me the only characters I care about are Cammie and Chase. I felt nothing by the end of this episode cause there hasn't been any world building or building interesting characters outside of the Gen:Lock crew
