Ohio House Republicans introduce their own "Don't say gay" bill.

I don’t care why you’re in Ohio. Stay. Leave. Do whatever you want. And I never asked you why you’re still in Ohio, just that I found it odd you’d stay if it’s so terrible.

While it might be true that no schools include sexual orientation and gender identity in their curriculums, that unfortunately hasn’t stopped the odd looney toon teacher from bringing it up in the classroom. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to put an all out ban on any/all discussion of those topics for that particular age group. Perhaps we just disagree on that.

As far as “erasing visibility for the lgbqt+ community,” how? By not discussing it with little kids? Is that where the lgbqt+ community seeks validation or visibility? In the classrooms of k-3rd graders? I don’t buy that argument at all. I mean dear Lord, everything is all about catering to the lgbqt+ community nowadays. It’s everywhere. It’s shoved in everyone’s faces nonstop. Visibility for the lgbqt+ community is seriously the least of my worries.

If parents want to sue their school district for teaching them stuff that their kids shouldn’t be taught, I’m all for it.
