Not surprising though, John has always been one of the most whiney, immature brats on the platform and as he has gotten more complacent having carved out his little corner of youtube he has just become more comfortable showing that side both on camera and social media.
As you said, it's apparently a perfect normal thing for him to fetishize a character repeteadly but people make some mods, 3 of which were completely harmless, 1 of which was doing the same thing he does and he gets on his pedestal and starts whining. Don't get me wrong, if someone was truly waiting for a skirt related mod before playing the game, that is idiotic I am not saying otherwise, but again, I also haven't fetishzed other characters, the hypocrosisy of John is blatant, but he has cultivated basically a cult, his chat consists largely of children and the ones that blindly worship every word out of his mouth get to say, those that dare to question the infallible john wolfe are banned. So despite in his own words being a "D-list youtuber" he is one of the most arrogant people on the platform.
This will likely get deleted, but one quick example I can share from the brief time I checked out his twtich content. he was playing bad games, it was a roulette wheel I believe of bad games and at the time he was playing some metal detecting "simulator" game. Was pretty quiet in chat so talk turned to TV shows, there was one person in the room, not a random, someone who had been subscribed for a long time, can't recall exact length, but over a year at least, they disagreed with john's opinion on a show. Not even in an argumentative way, they just said they didn't get the appeal of it and felt that some other show did a better job with similar themes. John lost his shit, started to insult this person telling them its not about opinion they are "wrong", questioned their intelligence, started doing his oh-so talented impressions of characters from the show, mocking the subscibers preference.
The subsciber didn't do anything, they didn't escalate the issue or return the personal attacks that john had resorted to, they had either left or just didn't care enough to keep it going, but it didnt matter. John lost it, which in turn meant his scumbags ( which lets be honest, constitute easily 90-95% of his viewer base) started to dogpile on the subscriber. People who weren't even in the chat to see what started the spectacle were talking about how the subsciber was an "asshole" "dickhead" "moron" "probably fat" etc etc. Again that person was either silent or had left I don't know which, but this unbeilvably childish whining went on for about 10 solid minutes and culminated with john telling the mods to ban the guy. Needless to say I disabled my auto-renew and never went back to his twitch, the level of hypocrisy, stupidity and narcissm is unrivalled. On many ocassions he has mocked fornite streamers(despite playing the game himself but I digress), as well as COD streamers and he has his open mouth, slack jawed impression of "average streamer content" yet he is without a shadow of a doubt more childish, aggressive and toxic( which is a word I never use, but it is apt here) than all of them
