One thing I'd like to add about Campbell...

What is it about Joel Campbell that makes some people want him to succeed so badly that they ignore the obvious deficiencies in his game? I understand wanting a player to do well and succeed, and I'm sure he's a nice guy, but the excuses made for him are getting ridiculous.

"Oh he's still young", "he never gets any playing time", "but he's got a good work rate"(the worst compliment), and now "giroud is holding him back, walcott will bring out the best in him". Why do people care so much about Joel Campbell when nothing in his play has indicated that he deserves a spot on the team, much less in the starting lineup. The guy is 4th choice in his position and doesn't make the bench if the squad is fully fit. He's painfully one footed, has limited technical/passing ability, and looks the weakest player in the squad in each games he features in. To say he was at least fast to make up for the holes in his game, but he's not even that! He has two decent (by his standard) games against weak teams and suddenly he's good enough, ignoring every other game he's played in. He is mid-table quality at best, and even that is being kind, as there are plenty of wingers at mid-table clubs who are better than him.

Ffs, this is Arsenal football club. One of the biggest and most successful clubs in the world, and we're worried about what line up will fit fucking Joel Campbell the best? He isn't Arsenal quality, has never shown that he may one day be Arsenal quality, and anyone who argues otherwise is really selling this club short. I cringe when I see Campbell lined up next to players of Ozil and Sanchez's quality, since he is so painfully inferior, through not fault of his own. Now as a 4th or 5th choice in his position he's fine (personally I'd prefer a youth team player there), but when fit, Ramsey, Walcott, Sanchez, Welbeck, and Ox are always going to start over him.

TL/DR: The excuses people constantly make to try and justify Campbell's position in the team are ridiculous. He isn't good enough for the club (at least not to be more than a 5th choice winger), and saying so is insulting the quality of a club as prestigious as Arsenal. The ox and walcott should start on the wings this week, not campbell.
