March 31, 2023 Daily Discussion & Transfers Thread

How would people feel about renaming us "Arsenal Mens"?

I'm not sure when this will happen, but I'm almost certain it will happen and I'm curious to hear what others think.

On one hand, it gives a greater sense of togetherness between the men's and women's team. It's not "Arsenal" and "Arsenal Woman". It's no longer "The Arsenal" and then the other one. It feels progressive, and at the end of the day established fans will rarely use the new name, it'll just slowly filter in and cause little disturbance.

On the other hand, I can see lots of gammons getting really upset. Even though we've got historically one of the best woman's teams, some people will argue (incorrectly) that the name change is erasure and we'd be losing our heritage.

It's tricky, but I'm sure it will happen. Especially with us having American owners and the "US Men's National Team" being the first team I can think of that did something similar
