Huh I guess your definition of trolling is a lot closer to mine than I thought. It's just that I think a lot of people take "troll" to be synonymous with "being an idiot" and I think that leaves out a lot of the nuance that comes along with that title.

For example, you said that I didn't even bother reading this article. It was precisely because I DID read the article that I could so beautifully miss the entire point and go off on an idiotic tangent like that. And look at how many people I seem to have pissed off. I have -70 votes on that comment while the most upvoted comment here is at like +30.

I do usually try and get at the grand scheme prankster type trolling, and I guess you could say my account as a whole is like that. I try and cultivate a personality so that people can't just go into my history and see that two days ago I was a normal person. I'm dedicated and really play the role so that people are captivated and truly fall for it.

Believe it or not, I think it does take a good bit of effort to be a convincing idiot.
