Panic disbanding question

Being on drugs AND having severe ADHD don't help with impulse control when speaking.

People used to LOVE that Brendon has ADHD, make video compilations related to it, and talk about how endearing it was. When controversy began to surround him, the fact that he had ADHD ultimately left the conversation when it was most important.

While ADHD isn't an excuse for saying inappropriate things, it's an explanation. Everyone has inappropriate or insensitive thoughts, whether we like them or not, but people who are neurodivergent are more likely to blurt them out. This isn't a justification for not apologizing; if what you say is ignorant or hurts others, apologize. I don't believe people with ADHD should be held to the same impulse control and mindfulness standard as neurotypical folks. It's a lot harder for us. We're at a biological disadvantage unless we take medication, which isn't always an option.

I blame the general lack of awareness for ADHD not only affecting attention span. It impacts you in many other ways, time management, for instance. Not a lot of people know this!
