Brooke has been playing so long that she’s arguably had an up and down arch to her career with the last twelve months being a resurrection of sorts. Nelly is still arguably on the climb and hasn’t reached her potential yet. We’ve never had to feel disappointment with her like happened with Brooke. With one major win and the gold medal, it still feels like we are just scratching the surface on Nelly’s potential. Nelly also kind of represents what feels like a breakthrough of sorts with the women’s game in how far she hits the ball along the likes of Lexi and Maria Fassi types. It’s kind of like when Jack showed up in the men’s game and was hitting it twenty yards past everyone. Not saying Nelly will be the Jack Nicklaus of the women’s game but rather just trying to put it in context.
