it terms of muslim countries, we are much more liberal then the other countries. from laws privileging freedom to people’s minds being more open minded. it terme of culture and all that, our youth is extremely influenced by the west whereas in countries of the middle east for example (for the exemption of lebanon), they still have a heave pure arab influence. even the way we speak is less “arabic” than other arab countries. if you’ve ever been to tunisia and also been to other arab countries you will see this certain mix in arabic culture and islamic mentalities with european culture and western mentalities. as a country and gouvernement we still aren’t anywhere near like western countries but we are much more “western” than the other arab countries. i know what i’m saying may seem abstract and superficial but there is a big difference from tunisia to let’s say saudi arabia or egypt (big arab countries with heavy influence)
