Do we even exist at all?

I do not disagree with your statement. But I feel as if my voice has been taken from a negative point of view. When, in fact, my view is not much different than this. And I do not need comfort. I never once stated I was a sadist. So far, everyone has jumped to some sort of assumption of me being depressed, or nihilistic. We can put each other in mental categories, but what does that change about death, or living now? I do not believe we should refrain from positive behavior - I am saying that no matter what we do, or how we feel, we will die. And that everything we've ever 'known' is no longer, including birth, death, time, feelings, actions, and all of the above and below. So in that sense, it's like you were never born, once you die; therefore anything you do now, doesn't matter to the universe (because it does not think) or amount to anything other than non-existence.

But I stated in my last paragraph that I think we could potentially achieve immortality through technology. And if that were the case, we would overcome death, and have transcended life into eternity. So at that point, humanity has control of their own nature, and perhaps technology to control the nature of the universe. But people argue that the universe will come to an end, and I do not fully disagree, however, I would argue by that point in time, we may have discovered that our universe is inside of another one, like multiverse theory, and then we jump to that one if this is dying, and so on. There is no saying for sure that the universe will die, too, because we cannot fully measure it. Is it finite? Is it infinite? I don't know. Would you reach a wall, is there an end? Too far out to tell.

But if there is any one action that doesn't amount to death, it's the act of transcending it. That's all.
