It's more that you shouldn't automatically assume bigger = better.

If you compare the numbers for a 56-person dome vs a 72-person dome, the 56-person dome is incredibly power efficient at 0.41 per capita vs 0.76 per capita. It's more resource-efficient, too, but not game-breakingly so. The real cost is the electricity.

So you have to ask yourself, what does that 72-person dome really get you? An extra triangle, basically. But that's a lot of people for one service slice to support, and it's using nearly twice as much power per capita.

You could go to a 48-person, 2 apartment configuration and ease the service burden, but then your per capita efficiency gets even worse.

So if you're trying to min-max, Living Complexes are surprisingly good assuming you're willing to build more domes.
