I don't usually write these but these are my takeaways from this game:
We need to learn how to keep pressure after building an early lead. It seems like we let off the gas a lot.
Teams that have heavy forechecking and hittting need to be addressed as it seems like they just beat us into bad decision making and this is a necessity that needs to be addressed for the rest of the season to be successful.
Hutton was godly tonight
The Kings couldn't hit the net for their lives when it counted.
Eichle needs to not disapear as he seemed to do in tonights game, not blaming the player, but the Captain of the team needs to lead.
Glad to see for once we have depth scoring that can take us through games where our top lines don't shine.
We have to keep control of the puck more, wayyyyyy to many turnovers forced by the forechecking.
Shots need to be blocked more, 47 shots is ridiculous, thats a goalie mow down.
Glad to see unlike previous years we will come out strong after a bad loss instead of crumble.
Some of these problems are definitley due to the double header, and wear and tear, and jet lag. However I still believe these need to be addressed and are honest concerns.
