The Housley Problem

D- bu- I-... no. All of your points are just false honestly. For the record, I think Housley is a mediocre coach, not bad not great; I think he could be a better coach if he put a little emotion (Not too much) into his job.

But here's why your analysis is just so.. bizarre.

First off, "he straight refuses to looks at any sort of advanced analytics". My counterargument is Housley played just about 1500 NHL games. He knows exactly what he is looking at and knows exactly how to evaluate players.

"refuses to put together Risto-Pilut one of our best parings of the year" sure you could argue that and I do believe that's out best pairing. But Pilut has made so many fucking mistakes, again it's the whole 1500 games thing. He knows how to discipline players. As for Scandella/Ristolainen, Scandella doesn't get that much ice time anyways. He has the 2nd or the lowest TOI out of our main 6 D that played this season. Housley knows what he's doing with him.

"He also refuses to sratch even for one game either Sabotka or Scandella even though they have shown to be the 2 worst players on the team" I already explained Scandella but I'll have to defend Sobotka a little. He's not a great player but he's a serviceable defensive option with one of the best FO% on our team. We need him out there to win them for us.

"He breaks up good line like Skinner-Eichel-Pommer and Sheary-Mitts-Reinhart"... Mitts is injured. Sheary and Reinhart have been playing together. Pominville is old as fuck and shouldn't really be getting top minutes every single game with Eichel.

"He came in here preaching he would bring a modern system with break out passes and smooth transitions and he has us running drop passes and dump and chases like they're going out of stock." I really have no good retort to this. He wants to play the system but the players simply can't. Sobotka, Eichel, Dahlin, Ristolainen, Scandella even have been fueling our transition. Most others just can't and need to learn how.
