Pluses:

Chiasson played maybe his best game as a Sen. Went straight to the front of the net, was physical, Cameron awarded him with minutes.

Great game from the entire defence core, I was going to say Methot had an off-night, and he struggled handling the puck, but he put his body on the line with blocked shots and a big physical effort in a night he was battling the puck.

Karlsson over-passed, a lot. But many many players do this against Bishop since he's so goddam big it looks like theirs nothing to shoot at.

Stone is on absolute fire, he strips guys with one hand on his stick, he's physical in battles, he's determined to get to where he wants to go, awesome to see.

Hammond, overall solid,no crazy rebounds, big confidence building saves on guys like Stamkos. I think his puck handling is a huge benefit to Ottawa's plethora of puck moving defencemen.

And Weirdcock... I'm always pretty hard on him, but he looked good with the quick passes from the corners in Ottawa own end, and of course some brilliant patience on the game winner. Credit where credit is due.

Minuses:

Bobby Ryan, fought the puck a lot, extra passes, I think he was benched for a good while in the third while Chiasson enjoyed extra minutes? Strange off night for Bobby, be interesting to see how he responds.

Powerplay, holy fuck, shoot the puck. Honestly bench those guys and put Pageau's line out. Sloppy entries and no shots at all.

Not really a minus... but that tampa Bay team is a serious threat, their biggest weakness is on the back end, and once they're healthy again they'll be a great playoff team. friggen dangerous forwards.
