This is such a horrible run of form that we’re on: getting shit on by Atleti, drawing Villarreal and then going to Athletic Club and losing like this. Our forwards are playing like the biggest bunch of fucking pussies that I have ever seen. Don’t just wait for the ball, play with the midfielders and each other, got it is like they don’t realize that it has become so incredibly easy for defenses to just isolate our front three who are playing like three forwards who don’t want to play together. I want to see interplay, I want to see quick passes and chances created TOGETHER. Why isn’t this happening? We saw it so many times last season and I can’t figure out why it isn’t happening for them now. They are the most predictable bunch I have ever seen. All Bale does is run down the right flank, beat his man and put a cross inside which is inevitably pushed away or cleared by a defender. Benzema keeps losing the ball, and Cristiano has been completely impotent these past few months. Illarramendi keeps losing the ball, Kroos looks like a dead man walking and Isco, for as great of a dribbler he is, needs to work on his final ball a little bit more. His passes aren’t that great when trying to split apart a defense, but that is partially due to the shit state of our forwards right now.

I don’t think the defense has been too terrible, since a great many of the chances that we give have been due to the midfielders losing the ball at the halfway line and leaving the defense high and dry. Credit to Athletic, they played well, but it was greatly assisted by the fact that we played like complete and utter shit. What horrible performances these past matches.

What is Ancelotti’s deal? Is he incapable of motivating the team? You would think the loss against Atleti would be enough for our guys to grow some huevos, but not a thing, the same old tired and lackadaisical passing and movement, coupled with no intensity when trying to win the ball. These are big games we are playing. It isn’t just Athletic or just Villarreal, these are good teams, and that should be enough to get at least two guys to close down the ball when we are not in possession. Pathetic. /Rant
