To put it into perspective, Othinus tortured Touma for thousands, millions or even billions of years before she actually had the idea "hey, maybe I should not do that". Even if Othinus changed Touma realistically should have a mental break down every time he sees her. Calling it bad history is down playing it.

Mikoto also risked her life multiple times for Touma and saved him from certain death. As someone who knows people who were in abusive relationship I comparing something as light hearted as Tsunderes to real life abuse is mess up and insensitive.

Seriously, if Othinus gets that much time to change, every girl should and they probably won't take as long.

Also, regarding your last point. If your point is that Othinus is better because she changed then you doesn't have a point. Othinus is literally the last person Touma should ever get together with. Nothing can make up what she did to him. Touma even says Aleister is possibly beyond forgiveness and Othinus has done worst.

I also still don't get why so many people think neither Misaki nor Mikoto see the real Touma but instead some kind of fake version. If they really expect a girl to have the same kind of understanding as Othinus before they can start a relationship, that's just unrealistic.
