Context: My dad (D) unfortunately has a lot of friends (R) that I'm in a group chat with. It's been a real eye opener to how these people perceive the world and the complete alternate reality they all live in. Always sharing their moronic views on the vaccine and other stuff going on. I can't help but rebute them since it is easy to prove them wrong and make their takes sound as idiotic as they are. At first I figured I'm probably the only voice of opposition they hear directly so I didn't mind interacting with their bullshit. I've come to learn these people have absolutely zero shame and wear their ignorance with pride no matter what evidence you spoon feed them. The Jan 6th insurrection never came up so I asked if they had any patriotic outrage to spare for what happened on that day and this was just one of their responses.
