I play solo, I've been wiped twice on my way to level 80. I now have 2x2 metal bases, hidden explosive caches everywhere, back up gear hidden and max tame ptera, toad and egg farm.

The first time I hit back and leveled a plantx spammed base with 5 members online. I leveled them and their tames because they killed all my passive phiomias unprovoked. I spent 4 days hunting them and wrecking them. The first time I spoke in chat was offering a 300 ingot bounty on any new location they built. Eventually they all left the server.

The second time I got hit was by the second largest tribe on my server. I immediately offered 500 ingot bounty in chat for all of their locations. The leader spoke to me in chat, gave me back everything that was lost, extra materials and offered an alliance.

I am now friendly with most of the tribes and nobody has raised me, despite not using any turrets. Cross server raiders are my biggest risk.

I play all solo but I chat and help everyone now.

If you want to play solo show them you can't be hit without major consequences. Secondly, form alliances. Help people out and they will help you out.
