Proposal for independent practice to achieve NP education reform

I absolutely support standards for NP education & oppose degree mills, but if I had to do this training I would want to earn more. All of those requirements to make around $130K? I don’t support independent practice either. I think we need to find a middle ground. I chose nursing and then NP because I could work and go to school, I have excellent work/ life balance. I don’t want to give that up. It’s afforded me the life that I have and the precious time I’ve gotten with my family. I think if the degree mills were eliminated there would be a lot of improvement in our profession & Eliminate direct entry. These are just quick thoughts.
