Season 5 Episode 2
So at the end of October, after 10 matches I'm in second on 24 points with 8 wins and 2 losses, and a point behind Juventus. inter are two points back of me, followed by Lazio and Milan. Euro League is looking good as well, I'm top of the group with 3 wins in three matches. Grasshopper are second on 6, with Lokomotiv, 3, and FC København, 0, struggling to stay relevant.
L 2-0 vs. Udinese
Disappointing showing against a mid table side, they were given a soft penalty but I managed to save it. I was pushing hard for an equalizer, but they punished me on the counter.
D 1-1 @ FC København (Wijnaldum)
A surprising draw, though Lokomotiv beat Grasshopper 2-1, meaning I still have a 4 point cushion over second.
L 3-0 vs. Atalanta
Another disappointing loss, and still Depay and Narsingh are nowhere to be found.
W 2-0 @ Lazio (Depay, Narsingh)
Depay struck a free kick right outside the box that hit the underside of the crossbar before bouncing in, and Narsingh would score from the spot as we stop the slide for now.
Palermo has been announced as my opponent in the TIM Cup Round of 16.
D 1-1 vs. Inter (Narsingh)
They scored early, and it took a while before Narsingh could equalize in the second half. Embolo hit the post twice as we fail to close the gap on second place.
W 2-0 @ Lokomotiv (Vargas, Gnabry)
We scored two quick goals just after half time as we win the group. FC København beat Grasshopper 2-0, meaning the gap from 1st to 2nd is 4 points with only one match remaining.
W 3-0 @ Cesena (Vargas 2, Jozefzoon)
Vargas scores his league leading 11th and then 12th goals as we deftat recently promoted Cesena to start back on the right path.
W 5-3 vs. Roma (Embolo, Wijnaldum, Bender, Narsingh, Manolas O.G)
An important win against one of the better teams in the league, it was 4-2 before they scored a freak O.G on themselves.
W 5-1 vs. Grasshopper (simmed)
I'd already won the group, so I simmed using the reserve squad and this was the result. I've been drawn against Rubin Kazan in the Round of 32. I finished 5-0-1 in the group, on 16, while Lokomotiv finished second with 9.
L 4-3 @ Juventus (Embolo, Narsingh, Delay)
Things started off well, we scored first, but they scored three unanswered to lead 3-1 at half. Narsingh and Depay scored to level it up, until Vidal scored in the 87'.
Embolo and Vargas lead the league with 12 goals each, second is Llorente (Juventus) on 11.
Dembélé leads the league with 10, second is Embolo on 9, and third is Wijnaldum on 8.
Mirante (Parma) leads the league with 7 clean sheets, Zoet is a bit behind on 4.
At the end of December, with 17 matches played, Juventus lead the league with 43 points. In second is Inter on 36, and we sit third on 34. Roma and Milan make up the top 5 with 32 and 30 points, respectively.
In cup competitions, we are set to play Palermo in the TIM Cup Round of 16, while also set to play Rubin Kazan in the Euro League Round of 32, after going 5-0-1 to win our group.
