Alright my dudes so here's what I'm thinking; what do the majority of all redditors have in common? We're virgins who can't find ourselves SOs because we're too antisocial to connect with someone out there in the real world.

But what if you could find someone and set up an over the web date, all from the comfort of your own $399 gamer chair?

Now how would this process work, you might ask? Well I'm welcome to ideas and input from wiser people than me, but so far here's what I'm imagining:
  1. You join the subreddit a make a post sharing as much or as little about yourself as you want, as long as it's not personal info, and what you'd like to do on your date.
  2. Once someone shows interest in your post through the comments, or you find someone else's post you like, you can move on to the actual date.
    • These dates will be anything two people can do over the internet together, you could stream with them your favourite movie, play some co-op games, or share a romantic ramen dinner over video chat. There are so many creative date ideas you could come up with.
    • And don't worry if no one responds to your post at first, you can always try again after a certain amount of wait time. (Could be anywhere from like 3 days or a week, not sure yet).
  3. Even though this is mainly just a safe and fun way to meet new people, for the most part without any serious romantic intentions behind it, if people actually were able to find something lasting on here, that'd be pretty cool. But if not, there's no commitment and you can just try again on another date.

What are the pros of using this to find your Valentine and not just some dating site?

  • With no pics or personal info there'd be less ways of catfishing
  • No irl meet ups to keep things safe, both physically and socially
  • If your date decides to harass or troll you'll be able to report them to a mod, which could lead to a ban

So with this subreddit, instead of spending Valentine's alone, eating 3 tubs of sherbet and re-watching The Notebook for the 47th time, you can find yourself that ideal Minecraft gf/bf.
