Radical Feminists disrupt inaugural meeting of Canadian Association For Equality Ottawa

These are the kinds of unsubstantiated phrases

This statement is substantiated. I'll walk you through it. Let's look at a few issues and the mainstream feminist position on it.

Feminism has perpetuated the wage gap myth for years. They continue to perpetuate it even though we have plenty of data that shows there isn't much of a gap at all, and what gap there is, cannot be attributed to discrimination. Do you understand the difference between inequality and discrimination? Just because an inequality exists, that doesn't mean it's due to workplace discrimination. And yet, the mainstream movement continues to press forward with this nonsense.

How about rape? Feminism's position on rape is to lie about its prevalence. The "1 in 4" lie is still being repeated and it was even picked up by politicians. The truth is that it's nowhere near that. How does this hurt men? Gee, I don't know, maybe take a look at what is happening to men on college campuses right now. They're being denied due process and railroaded. There are countless lawsuits over this issue right now. Feminism's bright idea is to "teach men not to rape" as if moral men need to be taught not to rape. It's ridiculous, and it treats all men as if they are rapists in waiting.

How about domestic violence? We know feminism's position on this one. It's patriarchal! How do we know this? Because VAWA is based on the Duluth model. VAWA is a piece of legislation we can thank feminism for. It's clearly toxic to men, since the Duluth model states that:

"On the societal level, women’s violence against men has a trivial effect on men compared to the devastating effect of men’s violence against women."

That sounds pretty toxic to me.

You want more examples? How about the Ban Bossy Campaign. This one sounds harmless enough. Mainstream feminism is also responsible for this piece of shit advertising campaign. In it, they claim that little girls are being held back by the word Ban Bossy. There are countless powerful feminists in this campaign. But of course they lied about their own data. The parts they didn't tell you:

1) Little boys were just as likely as little girls to say they didn't want to be leaders because of the word bossy.

2) Little girls in the study were just as likely as little boys to use words like "confident, talented, and strong" to describe themselves.

and, the best part of all:

3) Little girls in the study were actually more likely than little boys to have had actual leadership experience.

This campaign was backed by millions of dollars in funding and they ran nationwide television, radio, and internet marketing spots.

How is this toxic to little boys, you might ask? Well, for one it perpetuates the "women are always the victim" trope. Two, it's little boys who are falling behind in school right now, not little girls.

On the issue of children, NOW also regularly opposes any legislation that would have family courts favor shared parenting. Their reasons are nothing short of bullshit, anti-male sentiments. If you're not aware, NOW is the largest feminist organization on the planet. They also regularly oppose fair and reasonable alimony reform.

So no, it's not a lazy way to make a point. These are facts that everyone should be familiar with, especially those who identify themselves with the same label and the same group. That's the point.

Do you really have knowledge of what feminists do on a local, daily, personal and political level or are you basing this assumption on what made the blogs?

I don't care about the blogs. I also don't care much about what they do on the local level, although typically NOW has branches all over the place and that's the organization that does things locally. They are toxic. All we have to do to see that the radfems are steering the ship is to look at what the movement as a whole is actually achieving. I've just walked you through some of it.

There's a huge difference between feminism and MRA, at least right now. Feminism is a massive movement with tons of money backing it. It has significant economic and political power which, at least right now, it wields to benefit women even if that comes at the expense of men. That's not how you strive for equality.

That's like saving one person from drowning by pushing another person's head underwater.
