Rail Nationalisation Party-Switch Debate

Considering I'm a Liberal I shall take this opportunity to make fun of everyone, including myself

Communist

I, as a member of the Leninist-Trotskyist-Malkovitchist faction of the Communist Party, believe that the railways should be nationalised, and that fares should be voted upon by the proletariat (as he is the nicest person I have come across) on a monthly basis. Also, the trains themselves should unionise to fight the bourgeoisie drivers who put them under the thralldom of rail slavery.

Furthermore, to achieve FULL COMMUNISM the carriages for First and Second class will be switched - those rich fat cats at the front of the trains, sitting there and perpetuating liberal values, will have to pay more to stand up in cramped conditions, where the obvious working classes shall have all the seats they want in extra long carriages which definitely will not fall off the rails.

BIP

I, as a member of the definitely not fascist in the slightest-no sir-BIP, think that trains should be subject to our norms and values. For too long idiotic German trains, with European Union assistance, have been taking over British Railways. Something should be done about it! British companies, like the LNER and GWR must take back what is rightly theirs! And screw the Commies!

Myself

Mr. Speaker, members of the House, I am going to proceed to go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and hopefully not change my mind mid-debate after I have actually thought about what the bally Hell I am saying. Rail nationalisation would be a bad move. Not only did B.R. not work, it simply did not work. It was a Lovecraftian monolith...goes on for another five minutes about monoliths...which is why the capitalist way is the best way. Now, for the inevitable literary allusion which makes me sound smarter than I actually am, and finally the point which people tend to agree with.

<Insert witticism here>

PLP

We agree with the rest of the House, though we think that rail concessions would be a fantastic idea. Perhaps the member would like to add them? Also, as our Green colleagues have suggested rail concessions are rather important...Gets into argument with /u/thewriter1 which goes on for hours

Greens

Rail nationalisation is a good idea. Also, why not have solar powered trains? That would be a good idea.

After much thought I have changed my mind...
