I really can’t understand the people who still support this animal abuser

Chick-fil-A slander aside, I definitely get where you're coming from. I think it's kind of like Death of the Author, where the creative work of an author is separate and distinct from the author. It's usually meant to mean that the authors intent doesn't matter to the work (and to imply that your own experiences or interpretations are just as valid), but I think it's being applied more broadly now to problematic authors whose works are beloved. Like Harry Potter and JK Rowling. Or, more relevant to me, Orson Scott Card and like half of his entire goddamned bibliography.

I know his beliefs are problematic, I don't support his church, and I know that a percentage of any money I've ever spent on his books have likely go the mormon church... But I already spent the money and those books had a huge impact on my child- and young adulthood. And I know some of the themes are very wtf, but I don't care - I'll read around those bits while I consume all the mental comfort food.

And I'll try to, like, balance out the karma in the universe by never eating a crumbl cookie ever again and calling it even.

Also are you more of a Zaxby's person? I don't love their food but I super love their sauce and I will eat any about of limp french fries and forgettable chicken tenders just for love of the sauce.
