Really mean seller that called me a name - Advice wanted

Ok. Do you think it makes financial sense to pay for a 4.00 dollar shipping return fee when the item cost you $1-$2 dollars?

They legally have to repay you if they sent you a wrong item. It was missing a word. Why would they even want the item back or make a customer go to the post office to send it back. The seller is supposed to send a return shipping label if they want it returned.

And the other 5 or so reviews said it was missing a word or were sent another item completely and the seller didn’t offer them a refund but just said they were hoped they were happy with the item they received. He did it to multiple people.

I brightened the color and messed with the photo in editing beforehand to make sure they were different and it wasn’t my screen. They were obviously different and other reviews said the same thing. I considered that possibility. It showed a hot pink color that looked slightly purple. He sent a red/pink/ orange color. Another person said her looked red as well. I considered those possibilities.

In a review from a few weeks ago in his response to a customer that received a wrong item he said that his team was stressed out because of covid and the looters and he hoped they were happy with the incorrect product they received. He didn’t offer to refund them or send them the correct one. Why is he blaming looters for the mistake and not correcting the mistake? He P.O. Box is in Riverside, not downtown LA.

I know there wasn’t looting going on by here because I live a half an hour away from there and I would have heard about it. He is pulling excuses out of thin air and not admitting to his mistakes with other customers. It was weird. He doesn’t take responsibility.
