Anyone here moved back to Buffalo from a major city and kept their remote job?

I was there for 12 years, the first half as a significantly broke college student coming in from a farm town with 95% white classmates. NYC gave me more than I can put into words, but what I value most was being able to live and breathe amongst so many types of people. This is more than seeing someone in a Target checkout line. Countless communities exist with their own little ecosystems, shops, restaurants, and cultural centers. Living there, you get to experience all these little communities, and in such a uniquely anonymous way. As I got older and started working office jobs, I treasured hearing my co-workers' perspectives on the world, events, etc. Everyone came from a different part of the country or world, living out very different experiences in the same geographical location. What a phenomenon.

oh, also the Ferry system is so incredible now. They've opened up so many new stops, the built-in bar, and ULTRA scenic... what more could you ask for? Boat ride to your favorite part of the city for $3.
