RIP Angel Island

Rocky starts are pretty common in the private server scene. Doesn't matter though because it seems like most of the population has moved on from AI. It's been an empty shell the past week and a half. I've been hanging around but all the group pvpers seem to have disappeared, the log in problems and revert were (are) annoying, the guilds who were fueling conflict have dried up and finished their furious macro frenzy which seems to have led to a burnout. The AI candle raged at both ends for the first two weeks and now there isn't much left.

The two guilds I was rolling with were each sitting around dozen+ active members and our main guild was a day or two away from finishing our vendor tower and RP bar. There isn't enough player interaction and conflict to drive the economy of the server. With no wars or mass pvp fields, there were no incentives for suppliers to load up vendors. Townships and the kin system are great...on paper. With less than 10-15 people engaged in PVP on the weekends, that's a pretty bad omen for a pvp server.

It was fun while it lasted.
