And most of those surface reasons were from the great Malcolm himself. He comes onto this season after being the hero of Philippines and has the perfect combination of villainous “strategic” gameplay with the Kelley Wentworth/ Spencer Bledsoe memorial underdog position that the viewers eat for lunch. So when he does the idol play and the “hold up bro”, despite the fact that they do nothing to help him in the long run because the advantages the Cochran crew have are just too great to overcome, it’s fun TV. And despite the fact the character doesn’t have much else going for it except the fun underdog role with strategy confesssionals, which will hurt him a lot in this rankdown, he makes big moves, and big moves are fun for most viewers.
