Season 1 Episode 1: It's Summer and We're Running Out of Ice - Episode Discussion

I was more hoping for more economic upheaval based on economic classes. Like the commonwealth vs the elite. Also the upheaval between corporations and governments influencing international politics through markets. Things becoming more increasingly sold and peddled in advertisements, targeting consumer culture.

Just people fed up with the capitalism funding our own destruction, unnecessarily, to prop up the established order.

The cops would be trying to maintain that order. While the people are crying for a savior and are rebels. This isn't that show. This is a show about racism. Not much else. Triggered? Nah, I don't care either way, but I don't expect a show like this, to touch on such deep topics such as totalitarian philanthropy, loss of democracy, or class consciousness.
