The Engineers in Prometheus are just dead, there are no monsters popping out of them.

Except for the one in status who wakes up, gets impregnated by a giant proto-facehugger and has a monster pop out of him.

even if I'm totally wrong and the logic behind everything boils down to "It's space magic" I don't really care. I don't watch the Alien movies because I want an accurate representation of a hypothetical alien lifeform and it's biology and lifecycle. I just wanna see scary monster shit in space, plus the monster looks cool.

Which is exactly what i'm talking about, Ridley is trying so damn hard to make a movie about HOW the aliens ended up being, he's neglecting the parts of the franchise that made it so beloved. We knew nothing about the Alien in Alien one, but it had suspense, it is still even now a stand up horror film.

These prequels (And I don't hate them) just seem to keep on going down the rabbit hole, and making less and less sense when what they could have done is simply leave it a mystery but use the same Architect/david plot.
