Servers are self entitled pricks

I seem to be taking away to major themes from your post, both of which are flawed and one is a straw man argument.

Then work on your reading comprehension because you aren't getting it.

I would also like to point out that tipping culture is toxic despite what you think. Saying that tipping is good, because otherwise they would make less money is again just highlighting exploitation.

Excellent example of your shallow reasoning skills. I did not say that tipping is good, I said that servers prefer the status quo of a tipping culture to one that would have them paid a fair wage because THEY are able to exploit is EXACTLY as they do here on reddit.

I do not support a tipping culture or restaurants being allowed to get away with paying less than minimum wage by including tips.

I know of no server who is good at his job who supports elimination of a tip culture because it yields far better pay to them than they would get otherwise, in particular, it yields better pay than they would receive without it.

Theme two: 'They should quit acting entitled because people have it worse and they don't complain.' Saying that being a waiter is less stressful, exploitive, important than other jobs is beside the point. The point is that they are being exploited.

Again you completely miss the point, read above to see how I feel about tipping culture and the practice of paying less than what is required by law. So, consequently, since I don't support the exploitation of servers, then it should be clear to you that you have missed the point on "stress."

My point is simple, the statement that service is stressful holds no water because, 1) there are a wide variety of jobs that are more stressful that are paid similarly and without tips. So, you cannot use the "stressful" nature of a service job to justify higher pay. And 2) I simply call bullshit, only a whiner would call a service job stressful, it is simply not that stressful and I have a lot of friends who have laughed at the suggestion. If you think being a waiter is stressful, then you have never worked a really stressful job.
