Why does every generation before Gen Z think we're stupid??

I’m 40… 1982 is considered the oldest in the millennial group so technically I’m a millennial… I remember they used to say that about the millennials that none of them want to work… or can’t do hard work… among 50 other complaints.

My parents are baby boomers and they were into rock and roll and their parents thought it was going to inspire society to become drug addicted devil worshippers.

I’ve heard about Gen Z stuff like… millennials watch stuff like hour long documentaries on YouTube but Gen Z loses interest in any video longer than 20 seconds long… that they have no attention span etc.

Every generation sees the next with different interests and lifestyles than their own and talks about how the youth today is messed up. The problem with that is that the next generation grows up in a world that was built by the previous ones… so who is to blame anyway?

One thing I would say though… I remember being 24 years old out of college thinking “I wasn’t born yesterday” and feeling like I knew it all. We have a family business and I remember thinking my dad was so dumb and that with all my schooling I knew better than him… turns out I didn’t know what I didn’t know… I was the dumbass. So at least in my experience, when I was in my early 20s I was born a lot closer to “yesterday” than I realized at the time!
