You seem to have this weird misconception that the “high end” sneaker market is ultra competitive and there’s no way anyone can make it in at this point, but that is so far from the truth. Literally any major sports super star or big celebrity could release a shoe with Nike, and there would be an insane amount of hype. Even relatively unknown brands that have had a collaboration with Nike in just this past year have seen their sneakers reselling for more than double their retail value. There hasn’t been a major Nike collab sneaker that hasn’t sold out in less than a day for the past few years. If Shaq were to release a shoe with Nike right now, it would sell out instantly.
